situation, we had be appalled. it'd be like saying after sandy hook, so we have 26 people, 20 of them children who are dead, they're all dead now, so what difference does it make, what kind of gun that the shooter used or whether he was crazy? what difference does it make? obviously, it makes a lot of difference, not only because we want to prevent it from ever happening again, but we want to hold those responsible, who are indeed accountable for the crime. if a drunk driver kills a child in a car accident, we don't just say, well, what difference does it make? no, we want to know why did he get drunk and drive. it makes all the difference in the world. and americans still don't know the answers. and we have a right to demand what they are. kentucky senator rand paul told clinton he would have relieved her of her post if he were president during those hearings. he was equally as tough on the man nominated to succeed her as secretary of state, massachusetts senator john kerry during his confirmation hearing the next day. things got a little heated when senator paul asked senator kerry

wand to say we'll look at sandy funding for the hurricane victims then take this up in a couple of days. why not do it today? you're riding the wave of the inaugural address yesterday. are these guys even serious about reform or do they just always want to be able to play good cop against republicans in a pantomime that never ends? >> two things you have to recall about this particular incident. the first is that the senate is a clubby atmosphere. it is like -- somebody described it as one of the most exclusive clubs in america. only 100 members. it doesn't change very often. they want to be able to get along with each other and look as though they've got some kind of comedy. they've got some kind of gentlemen's arrangement that can move things forward. the problem with that theory is the republicans haven't been playing under those rules for years. we've got a supermajority that's required to get anything done and a minority that can actively block it. the second thing is a lot of the leadership is coming from the top, down. not from the bottom, up. you have the udall merkley bill that

conversations, multiple conversations about a month ago with sandy hook and sadly it's d deja vu all over again, as the saying goes. and with response, and lockdowns, mass notification to parents, lockdown of public schools in the area. and these are all of the things that we expect to see. we wish we didn't see them, but we do know that there's a common response, a standard response and increasingly practiced across the country and that the schools unfortunately like anywhere else out there, society has to be prepared for these types of incidents. that's the situation that we know that can happen again and quite frankly, probably will happen again. and parents, parents want to know and other parents want to know, number one, what steps the schools have in place to prevent these shootings. and number two, how well prepared are they to respond. are they working with law enforcement? do they have crisis teams, will they eventually have mental health services that kick in. are they communicating effectively, have mass parent notification systems, are they working with the media. all of these nuts

and devastation we recently saw up here with hurricane sandy. >> that's correct. we kind of developed our business model with katrina and learning with katrina what we needed to do for disaster relief and response and understood back then that you had to elevate the houses using this toarl prevent flooding. and here back in our own backyard we have sandy, and still to this date we have thousands of people without homes, without jobs, you know? everybody is struggling right at this point, and we need to do something. in november we put together a seminar where we put together four points of how we needed to start to respond to this. the first point was to get worker housing, you know, using the panels we can build quickly. the second part was to give the people back some type of a home that they can get back to while their homes are being reconstructed, so we came up with an emergency response pod which is part of our safe hut division. and these are collapsible trailers that can be put in front of the homes. then we have panels that can be used as curtain molds around the existing -- uma: it's def
